About Us
SacramEducate is a non-profit community learning center serving the Sacramento area since 2006. Our mission is to provide students of all ages and levels the opportunity to improve their learning by advocating a shared vision among the Sacramento community to improve education, ultimately helping to ensure that children have the tools necessary to become successful and productive throughout the rest of their lives. As a teacher-founded organization, SacramEducate strives to be a vehicle that will drive the efforts of our community and continue to help bridge the gap between school and home.
As our economy changes, the priorities of SacramEducate will also change. Although our current focus is directed at standard subjects as reading, writing, and math, ultimately we will add lessons in leadership, conflict resolution, financial literacy, and creative problem solving and preventative skills in such things as health and environmental science. Furthermore, we will bring back what has been taken away from our schools, such as the arts, music, and sports. These programs will focus on identifying unique strengths and teaching concepts like character building,teamwork, strategy, having a healthy competitive spirit and using all of this to fuel motivation to improve.
